Memphis Music Foundation Programs

BACKSTAGE PASS gives members of the Memphis Music Foundation and Resource Center access to established professionals in the music industry. Hear secrets to success and steps to improve your craft during this in-depth conversation.

PLUG IN MEMPHIS: INDIE MUSIC EXPO is an evening of networking and connecting for local musicians to area music and industry support businesses. The event will feature a keynote address on a crucial music industry topic. Exhibitors will include all types of businesses from merchandising, publicity and promotion to professional service providers, such as entertainment attorneys or accountants.

MEMPHIS MUSIC FOUNDATION SHOWCASES present the best emerging talent in Memphis to industry players from diverse genres and local music-loving audiences. Bands are chosen by a selection committee of local music professionals.

MEMPHIS AMBASSADORS brings Memphis artists to major music industry gatherings around the country. The program launched with a Memphis caravan traveling to represent the city at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and has continued with groups traveling to the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as wel as continuing appearances at SXSW. Participating artists work together to promote Memphis and Memphis music.

PIGGYBACK PROGRAM pairs emerging Memphis bands with established musicians touring cities with close geographical proximity of Memphis. The Memphis Music Foundation provides the emerging act with tour support and a jump start to building a solid regional fan base. The Foundation works with the band, empowering them to maximize the tour and mentoring opportunity.
